With the help of scholarships, I was able to gain employment in positions that truly enhanced my skills in working with people with disabilities. I hope to one day serve as an advocate for this community and help them gain the skills and experiences necessary to advocate for their own needs and wants as well as engage in the community, form meaningful relationships, and live independently.
