Student Scholarships and Endowed Chairs

The Foundation conducts ongoing fundraising efforts to secure scholarship funds and to share the costs of funding academic chairs in our departments.

Scholarships and endowed chairs help UC recruit and retain world-class scholars and faculty, adding value to your own degree. ___________________________________________

UCAA Scholarship Funds

Supporting UCAA Scholarships helps UC attract, obtain and reward outstanding students  — in many cases “keeping UC in the family” as legacy Bearcats (lineal descendants of other UC alums).

Gifts may be designated to specific UCAA Scholarships, including:

For incoming freshmen who are lineal descendants of UCAA Sustaining or Life Members. This fund honors past executive director of the Alumni Association, Christos Demakes. Awards are based on academic achievement, demonstrated service and leadership.

For undergraduates who are lineal descendants of UCAA Sustaining or Life Members. Awards are based on academic achievement, demonstrated service and leadership.

For incoming freshmen from participating UCAA regional alumni network areas across the country. Awards are based on academic achievement, demonstrated service and leadership.

Honors a current UC junior for outstanding academics, leadership and commitment to the university. Margaret Kacher and Sheri Ann Bloom were exceptional students devoted to the University of Cincinnati. In 1985, UC suffered the loss of both of these promising young women to untimely deaths. To recognize and remember them, the scholarship fund recognizes a current, full-time student in his or her junior year. Awards are based on academic achievement, demonstrated service and leadership.
