The Foundation conducts ongoing fundraising efforts to secure scholarship funds and to share the costs of funding academic Chairs in our departments.

Alumni Association Funding Opportunities
The University of Cincinnati Alumni Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to the support and mission of the University. The mission of the Association is to inspire loyalty, pride and support for the University of Cincinnati among alumni, friends, students and their families. Your gift in support of the UC Alumni Association, made through the UC Foundation, can be designated for student scholarships, alumni facilities or alumni programs. Know that your gift to the Alumni Association will inspire current and future alumni to share in your pride and support for UC.
- Christos P. Demakes Legacy Scholarship(sponsored by the UC Alumni Association)
This fund honors past executive director of the Alumni Association, Christos Demakes. These legacy scholarships are awarded to qualifying entering UC freshmen who are lineal descendants (children or grandchildren) of UC graduates who are members of the UC Alumni Association. Awards are based on academic achievement, demonstrated service and leadership.

The Kacher-Bloom Memorial Scholarship(sponsored by UC Young Alumni) Margaret Kacher and Sheri Ann Bloom were exceptional students devoted to the University of Cincinnati. In 1985, UC suffered the loss of both of these promising young women to untimely deaths. To recognize and remember these two exceptional UC alumni, the scholarship fund recognizes a current, full-time student in his or her junior year.

Executive Director Discretionary Fund
This fund is held at the UC Foundation for donations received for the general purpose of promoting alumni relations. Expenditures from this fund are made by the authority of the board of directors upon recommendation of the Executive Director of the UC Alumni Association. Gifts to support alumni programs such as homecoming, expanding chapters and clubs or alumni membership should be made to this fund. Contributions for marketing and advertising the UC Alumni Association will be directed to this fund.

May Grieshaber Memorial Fund
This fund was established in memory of May Grieshaber and is restricted to use for the alumni center. Often referred to as "the house fund," gifts to this fund provide maintenance, furnishings and upgrades to the Myers Alumni Center.
