College of Law
The University of Cincinnati's College of Law is the fourth oldest continually operating law school in the country, educating law students since 1833. Graduates are among the most respected judges, government, business and community leaders, and dedicated attorneys serving in all areas of legal practice.
UC Law Challenges
Though Cincinnati Law graduates lead the state’s other law schools in alumni giving participation, the faculty and students still need your support. Priority needs include charitable contributions for student scholarships, information technologies, strong library collections and research services, and rewards for faculty excellence.
Funding Opportunities
Continued support is particularly appreciated for:
- General use through the Law Alumni Annual Campaign
- Student scholarships and fellowships in specific areas of study
- Summer public interest service funding for law students
- Faculty Professorships and Chairs to underpin excellence
- Law Library Collections

Special Funding Opportunity
The Barbara G. Watts Scholarship Fund has been established to honor retiring Associate Dean Barbara Watts: Leader, Mentor and Role Model.
For almost three decades, Barb Watts has served the College of Law by teaching students, developing initiatives, and championing the law school. Now as her service to the College comes to a close, we want to take this opportunity to say “Thank You!”
Our lives have been bettered in immeasurable ways because of her hard work and dedication. What better way to show our appreciation than to honor her with what would be most important to her – a student scholarship in her name – that will benefit students for generations to come.
Please give generously to this (for the moment) “secret” scholarship fund that will be revealed to her at her farewell party.
