2008 Honor Roll of Donors

Thank you for your generosity!

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of the donors who supported the University of Cincinnati during 2008. With the inspirational generosity of more than 31,000 donors, almost $200 million was raised to mark our best year of fund raising ever. Your substantial private support enables us to fund scholarships, professorships, endowed chairs and much more – strengthening UC’s role as a leader in teaching, research and service.

We celebrated many exciting events throughout the year including the launch of our comprehensive campaign, Proudly Cincinnati, in support of UC’s ambitious vision to become a premier urban research university for the 21st century.  Some examples of the commitments gained thus far include gifts of $500,000 or more to the Margaret K. Valentine Fund for the Economics Center for Education and Research, the Raising the Bar athletics campaign, and the UC Barrett Cancer Institute at University Hospital. All gifts to UC help transform not only the lives of our students but the lives of many others in the community, nation and world through advances in health care, science and technology, as well as other initiatives for the 21st century.

Each gift  -  regardless of size  -  truly does makes a difference for our university and our world.

Now more than ever, we are all “Proudly Cincinnati.”

The University of Cincinnati Honor Roll of Donors acknowledges those who are dedicated to making a difference at UC through philanthropy. Beginning in 2009, donors making annual gift commitments of $1,000 during the 2009 calendar year will be added to the new 2009 honor roll. This annual list will be updated monthly. Each month, we will also add new members of our cumulative giving societies and new planned giving donors.
